Kate Middleton showed her "respect" to Queen Camilla as Meghan Markle showed her "confidence" at Queen Elizabeth II's funeral last year.
Footage of the Princess of Wales and the Duchess of Sussex at the Westminster Abbey ceremony a year ago today (Tuesday, September 19) set tongues wagging, with royal fans weighing in on their every move. Body language expert Adrianne Carter, also known as the Face Whisperer, has now decoded the two royal women's movements, showing how Kate upheld the utmost respect for the new Queen – while the former Suits star had something to prove.

"Kate dips her chin in respect and keeps her head bowed a lot in the clips we saw of her and Meghan holds her chin level which is a sign of confidence," Carter told the Daily Star.
“Chin raised can look arrogant and chin dipped is lowering yourself but chin straight on is a sign of confidence.”
A lot has changed since Her Majesty's state funeral last year, with both Meghan and Kate coming into their own in the wake of the monarch's death last September.
Meghan has been working on building her post-royal brand alongside husband Prince Harry, with the Duke of Sussex having recently put out his second Netflix documentary, Heart of Invictus.

Meanwhile the Prince and Princess of Wales have been ramping up royal appearances, with their three children beginning to step into the public eye.
Royal expert Kinsey Schofield said Kate and William don't even have Harry and Meghan on their radar as they're so focused on their own endeavours.
"[Kate and William] are looking forward, they are spreading joy. They are united. Unlike Harry and Meghan," she told the Daily Star.
"I doubt that Prince Harry is even on the Prince and Princess of Wales' radar."
