Jeremy Hunt mocks Rachel Reeves over ‘copying and pasting’
Jeremy Hunt left the Commons in stitches today as he mocked Rachel Reeves over “copying and pasting”.
The Chancellor made the jibe at the Shadow Chancellor as he delivered his Autumn Statement this afternoon.
Ms Reeves faced criticism last month after her new book was found to include a number of passages from Wikipedia.
Mr Hunt told MPs: “Let’s start with inflation. Now the shadow chancellor didn’t mention it in her conference speech.
“My conference speech was before hers so all she had to do was a bit of copying and pasting which I’ve heard she’s good at.”
Mr Hunt’s remarks prompted a loud reaction from the Tory benches.
