Tragic life of Sophie Anderson – troubled childhood, drugs and burst boob

Adult film star Sophie Anderson, who tragically died at the age of just 36 yesterday (Monday, December 4), had a life marked by traumatic abuse and drugs.

The cause of her death is currently unknown, but it came at a time when she was mourning the loss of her boyfriend, ex-Crystal Palace footballer Oliver Spedding, who died just two weeks prior.

The mother-of-four had previously spoken about her harrowing past, which included working in a massage parlour at the age of just 14 and trading sexual favours for drugs and alcohol. In an interview with James English on his infamous Anything Goes podcast back in April, she revealed that the sexual abuse began when she was just 10-years-old.

She said: "So the men I'd used to go and see at the age of ten were older as well. I'd particularly go to this pub in Bradford-upon-Avon knowing that I could get drink, go and s*** the guys off in a car so they would buy me booze and fags and give me weed.

"I lost my a**l virginity at 14. But, I don't know if people see this as bad, but for me it wasn't . . . I was so good at making people believe, you know, make people believe that everything was cool. I started working in a massage parlour when I was 14, so while I was trying to act and see women outside and get f***** by men, I was then in a massage parlour and getting paid."

Sophie shared on the podcast that she had to stop working at the massage parlour when they started asking for ID. She was homeless and living in hostels when she had her first child.

Struggling with an eating disorder and mental health issues, Sophie tearfully said: "It's not even my story that's making me upset. It's literally because if I knew that anyone had to go through anything or any kind of abuse with being hit or being mentally abused, or anything like that, that is what kills, you know."

In 2017, Sophie launched her adult film career and quickly became a popular star. She met her boyfriend Oliver Spedding during a shoot nearly four years ago. Sophie often referred to Oliver as "her rock" who helped her through her "darkest days", but he died just two weeks ago.

Last April, Sophie had a life-threatening incident when one of her breast implants got infected and exploded. She was in the shower when her 32JJ silicone implant burst out of her chest. In a slightly comical moment from recent years, she released a single in 2019 called Driving for D***, which failed to find a position on the UK music charts at all. She also released an acoustic version, which also flopped.

Sophie's death yesterday was announced earlier today by her close friend and fellow adult film star Rebecca More, with whom she made up the "C*** Destroyers", on Instagram. She wrote: "I'm devastated hearing the awful news of Sophie's passing. We shared some amazing times together and that's how I'm going to remember her. The bubbly, funny, kind hearted soul who was outrageous on the outside but also so gentle behind closed doors. We were very close, and we shared a crazy time together that was totally unique to us.

"That's how I will remember her. This is so tragic but I know you are now at peace. I will always love you and hold a special place in my heart."
