A royal expert fears “it’s going to take time” beforePrince WilliamandPrince Harry’s rift is healed.
The brothers were reunited earlier this month in the grounds of Kensington Palace, where they unveiled a statue in tribute to their late mum Princess Diana.
Harry and William were pictured chatting and smiling, and caught up with members of the Spencer family.
However, the Duke of Sussex left just 20 minutes after the ceremony ended, the Daily Mail reported.
Royal author and expert Marlene Koenig, who runsroyalmusings, was hoping for more of a reconciliation between the feuding brothers.
She told the Daily Star: “What I was hoping was after the statue unveiling, they would go back to Kensington Palace for a meal, sit down and talk.
“He could get to see his niece and nephews, and that didn’t happen as far as we know.
“He just drove off and went back to Frogmore, went back to Windsor.
“Did he talk to his grandmother? We don’t know.”
Marlene argued that Harry “didn’t have to rush back”.
Kate Middleton 'devastated' at Meghan and Harry's plans for small Lilibet christening
Asked if it was a sign that tensions still exist between the brothers, she responded: “Oh, absolutely. It’s going to take time on both sides.”
In the meantime, Harry has announced that he’s working on a bombshell new book.
The Duke of Sussexhas reportedly teamed up with Pulitzer-winning ghostwriter J. R. Moehringerfor the memoir, with the book set to hit shelves by late 2022.
A source toldUS Weekly: “The Royal Family is shaken up about the book.”
Charles and William are “particularly concerned about what Harry will reveal”, it is claimed.
They reportedly feel his recent criticisms were “bad enough” already.
The insider added: “They haven’t received a copy yet and don’t know what to expect. It’s making them nervous.”
Royal author Duncan Larcombe earlier claimed that William andKate Middletonhad been sending “sending secret messages” to Harry andMeghan Marklewith their recent behaviour.
Earlier this month, the Duke of Cambridge condemned racism directed at black English playersafter the heartbreaking final against Italy.
Mr Larcombe toldCloser: “William and Kate are definitely on the charm offensive right now – and it’s working.
“While William has always spoken out against racism, his statement this time was really powerful and especially relevant after Harry and Meghan’s accusation about the royal family.
“William and Kate have kept a dignified silence but now they’re letting their actions do the talking.
“It’s almost as if they’re sending a secret message to Harry and Meghan saying, ‘We’re going to keep going, we’re still here, we’re not backing down, we’re carrying on’.
