Williams Palace balcony behaviour has seen Queen scold him twice decades apart

Prince William's Buckingham Palace balcony behaviour has seen the Queen scold him on two separate occasions, decades apart from each other.

Despite the Duke of Cambridge's future role as King, that does not prevent his grandmother from giving him a good old fashioned telling off.

An eagle-eyed TikToker shared some footage of the William standing alongside Her Majesty on the balcony of Buckingham Palace.

In the two clips, which are filmed decades apart, William does not appear to be paying proper attention, with the Monarch putting her grandson in his place.

In the first clip, which was filmed during a flypast at a trooping of the colour back in 2016, he can be seen kneeling down on the floor with his son George.

But when the Queen spots him turning around and laughing with his brother Harry who is stood behind him, and talking to his wife Kate stood next to him, she taps him on the shoulder and orders him to stand up.

The royals have a series of rules they must follow while 'on duty' and it was suggested at the time that Her Majesty might have felt that the Duke could have been viewed as disrespectful for crouching on the floor.

In another clip from decades earlier, a young William is once again pulled back into line after he's caught by his grandmother, this time slouching over the balcony.
