Britain will be hotter than Morocco as a 1,000-mile wide ‘heat dome’ brings the 24C hottest days of the year this week.
The chilly temperatures of last week will be banished as the country basks in warmer weather.
The Met Office has forecast 22C on Monday, 23C by Wednesday and 24C on Saturday in parts of the country including London.

The weather gurus also say the heat should last around until July 3 – a whole 42 days of sizzling sunshine.
They say charts back hotter-than-average temperatures all the way from now until then.
It will see millions rejoice and head outdoors after months of gloomy weather finally appear to come to an end.
The highs will beat the 21C due in Rabat, Morocco.
Met Office meteorologist Aidan McGivern said: “The temperature anomaly for the next 42 days has a consistent signal for above-average temperatures at least into the start of June, if not beyond.”
This week’s high pressure ‘heat dome’ is set to beat the 23.3C hottest day of the year, set on Sunday (May 21) in Wales.

Craig Snell, a Met Office forecaster, added: “The coming week has temperatures forecast to reach the mid-20s at times, with the hottest day of the year so far.
“It will feel very warm in the sunshine.”
From Monday until Thursday, Britain is due to see “largely settled” weather with “fine and dry conditions and warm sunny spells”.

A Met Office forecaster said: “High pressure will dominate most of the UK until June, bringing a good deal of fine and dry weather for the majority of areas.
“Temperatures will likely be above average for the time of year.”
Exacta Weather’s James Madden has claimed that from Thursday, people might want to start getting the BBQ out and slap on the sun cream.

He said it is now looking “extremely favourable for a major area of high pressure and some even warmer conditions to become lodged across the country for several days”.
And he called it “perfect timing for the upcoming Bank Holiday weekend”.
