A tattooed police officer was suspended after bosses found out about her OnlyFans page.

Detroit Police Department (DPD) Chief James White learned about officer Janelle Zielinski's pornographic content on Tuesday morning (September 13) and launched an investigation.

Zielinski – who goes by Jay Victoria online – only graduated from the police academy and joined the DPD in March this year.

The keen bodybuilder can be seen on her Instagram page posing at the gym or wearing bikinis. Her Instagram bio contains a link to her OnlyFans account where she charges $12 (£10.40) a month for access to her racy snaps.

Police confirmed that Zielinski did not have her uniform on in her OnlyFans snaps, although it did appear on her Instagram which linked to the OnlyFans page.

"One of our officers, through her Instagram account, had a paywall set up and was posting pornographic videos on the other side of the paywall," said Chris Graveline, the director of the Detroit Police Department's Professional Standards section.

Zielinski was suspended following the brief investigation, although it transpired that she had handed her resignation letter in on Monday (September 12).

Her resignation letter was effective from September 23, meaning that her suspension will technically be in place until then.

Detroit residents have had mixed reactions to the news. Some, like Bryana Napton, had sympathy for Zielinski. She told FOX2 Detroit: "I don’t think she should technically get in trouble for it."

Others reacted differently. Resident Alvin Crosby said: "You’re representing the city when you have on a badge, and it’s just bad rep for the city."

Seeing both sides of the argument, Krista Symansic said: "As long as she's not doing anything illegal. OnlyFans is legal, right?

"Since she's promoting it on her Instagram along with promoting being a cop, I could see how that's a conflict of interest."
