Skies over the metro area will be mostly sunny on Saturday, strong winds are expected in the mountains and foothills.
In Denver, the high temperature will climb to about 58 degrees as winds gust to around 20 mph, according to the National Weather Service forecast. Winds in the mountains and along the foothills will gust to near 60 mph on Saturday.
Tonight in the city skies will be partly cloudy, the low will drop to 25 degrees and winds will gust to about 17 mph, the NWS forecast said. On Sunday, skies will be mostly sunny and the high temperature will top out near 50 degrees.
An approaching weather system will bring snow to the mountains Sunday night through Monday, with a slight chance for snow on the Eastern Plains on Monday afternoon.
On Monday in Denver there’s a 20% chance of snow after 11 a.m., the weather service said. Skies will be partly sunny and the high temp will hit about 43 degrees.
There will be another chance for snow, mainly in the mountains, on Wednesday night through Thursday.
