A 20-year-old student has been found dead in halls of residence at Coventry University.
His body was discovered at the Bishop Gate student complex in the city centre last Friday.
Emergency services were called to the accommodation, CoventryLive reports.
The university confirmed the man was a student and said support is being offered to his family.
Police confirmed officers found the body inside the student complex.
West Midlands Police said the death is not being treated as suspicious and it has now been referred to the coroner.
A spokesman for the force said: "We were called to the student accommodation on Friday (16 Oct) where the body of a man in his 20s was found.
"His death is not being treated as suspicious and has been referred to the Coroner."
In a statement, a spokesman for Coventry University said: “We are saddened by the death of one of our students.
“Our thoughts are with their family and friends at this awful time and we are offering all the support we can to the family.
“We have a full range of mental health support services available for students and colleagues affected by this tragic news.
"We ask that the family’s privacy be respected.”
The West Midlands Ambulance Service has been contacted for comment.
