A shocking video has captured the moment dozens of people traded blows in a WWE-style brawl that brawl broke out on a dock in Alabama, US, on Saturday (August 5).

In the clip, which has been shared on social media, a shirtless man appeared to throw the first punch, running up and punching a Montogomery Riverfront dock worker in the face at about 7pm Saturday at the 200 block of Coosa Street.

The worker threw his hat as onlookers shouted at the pair, who appeared to struggle before two more men join in with the punches.

A woman can be heard yelling at others to help the employee, with one man running down a ramp to the dock and another jumping in the river and swimming over to defend the worker.

Several others walk down to the dock in support of the dock staffer and the fight appears to end.

The wild battle ended with people thrown into the river, with multiple people being struck with a folding chair and several in handcuffs, the video showed.

Another clip shows a group of people approaching a pontoon boat and the opposing groups began throwing punches, pulling hair and even tossing a woman into the water as bystanders shout.

Followed by a third video, which showed even more people joining the fight.

One man whacked a man and a woman over the head with a folding chair before officers grab him and cuff him along with several other pontoon boaters.

Montogomery police have since issued four active warrants as of Sunday, local NBC affiliate station WSFA reported.

Mayor Steven Reed said in a statement: "Last night, the Montgomery Police Department acted swiftly to detain several reckless individuals for attacking a man who was doing his job.

"Warrants are being signed and justice will be served. As our police department investigates these intolerable actions, we should not become desensitized to violence of any kind in our community.

“Those who choose violence will be held accountable by our criminal justice system.”
