A stooge of Vladimir Putin has threatened the UK that it could be wiped out in “202 seconds” with a nuclear missile during an erratic tirade on Russian State TV.
Since Putin ordered the invasion of Ukraine two months ago, the west has been reluctant to interfere directly in the conflict through defence organisation NATO, for fear that this might spark the Russian President into launching World War Three by employing his nuclear arsenal.
Despite this reluctance, UK defence secretary Ben Wallace has warned that Putin may try start WW3 in just two days time by “mobilising” his citizens.
Amid this fear, journalist Julia Davis – who goes by the Russian Media Monitor online – has shared a clip of a furious lawmaker threatening nuclear destruction on Russian State TV in front of an unimpressed panel.
“One Sarmat missile and that’s it, the British Isles are no more,” the enraged lawmaker suggested.
But, one of the show’s presenters wasn’t convinced by the idea that wiping out the UK in a nuclear strike would resolve Russia ’s problems.
“The UK also has nuclear weapons,” he pointed out. “No one will survive in this war.”
“When you propose the strike with a Sarmat, do you understand that no one will survive? No one on the planet.”
Still, the Putin supporter persisted, suggesting that this scenario would present the opportunity for a fresh start with a “blank slate”.
He continued to emphasise the power of the weapons, which he claimed “can’t be intercepted”.
The programme then displayed a map, showing the supposed time it would take for a nuclear missile to reach British shores, with one presenter claiming a nuclear missile could reach London from Kaliningrad in “202 seconds”.
Getting excited, the lawmaker added: “They need to be shown this picture, ‘guys, look at this picture, count the seconds, can you make it?’
“Hello it’s already here, that’s the way. Let them think about it, get a stopwatch, count 200 seconds.
“That’s how you talk to them, they don’t understand anything else.”
The outrageous rant follows a familiar pattern of Russian State TV broadcasts encouraging the conflict since war broke out.
In another clip, Kremlin mouthpiece Margarita Simonyan warned: “Either we lose in Ukraine or the Third World War starts. I think World War Three is more realistic, knowing us, knowing our leader.”
