Prince Charles planned a "one-on-one" dinner with his son Prince Harry during his flying visit to the UK – but he was "dreading" saying the wrong thing, it's been claimed.
A source close to the Prince of Wales told the Daily Mail that he had planned the dinner with Harry during his son's trip to Britain to unveil a statue of his late mother Diana earlier this month.
The insider claimed a nervous Charles was however "dreading" it in case what he said was misconstrued.
Pundits have previously warned that anything said to Harry could feed back to the Duchess of Sussex back home in California and get leaked.
It was also claimed the future king, 72, had planned to fly back from Scotland to see his son and thrash things out after Harry's string of explosive claims about the Royal Family.
It is unclear if the meeting did occur.
Harry, 36, appeared in good spirits for his July visit – seen smiling with brother William – but it has been reported tensions still remain between Harry and his family.

It was just the second time he has returned to the UK since he quit the Royal Family – the first visit seeing the Duke attend his grandfather Prince Philip's funeral.
Harry made the flying visit to London this month but was not accompanied by wife Meghan Markle, who stayed in LA with their son Archie and newborn baby girl Lilibet.
The couple have made their home in the US after dramatically quitting the Royal Family last year.

Amid a string of public criticisms of the Royal Family, Harry was particularly critical of Charles – accusing him of making him "suffer".
In his documentary with Oprah – The Me You Can't See – the Duke of Sussex said: "My father used to say to me when I was younger, he used to say to both William and I, 'Well, it was like that for me so it’s going to be like that for you.'
"That doesn’t make sense. Just because you suffered, that doesn’t mean your kids have to suffer. Actually quite the opposite.
"If you suffered, do everything you can to make sure that whatever negative experiences you had, you can make it right for your kids."
Meanwhile Prince Harry and Meghan's second child, Lilibet, is yet to meet the Royal Family in person.
Buckingham Palace and a representative for the Sussexes have been approached for comment.
