While enjoying the scenery overlooking Parque Brasil 500 near Paulínia City Hall and the Municipal Theater, things went badly wrong, The Mirror reports.
Witnesses informed officers that Reginaldo screamed for help while still in the air, indicating that his equipment had failed. He then plummeted towards the ground, sustaining multiple fractures and entered cardiac arrest.
Noticing the incident, a cardiologist, who happened to be in the area, sprinted to help before an ambulance arrived. Despite efforts to save him, the Brazilian sadly passed away in hospital.
Reginaldo, who worked as a nurse technician, left behind a wife and two young children.
Police were called to the scene to investigate why the crash occurred. However the cause currently remains unknown.
