An adorable loyal street-dog who was rescued by a local bookseller waited for her for more than a week after she died.
Bianca the dog would walk with owner Eugenia Franco to work and wait patiently for her before the pair would go home together.
Locals spotted Bianca sitting outside on the street last week in the in the city of Tunuyan, in the western Argentine province of Mendoza, despite the fact Eugenia died.
Eugenia had fallen asleep with a book in her hands and did not wake up, but Bianca had no idea as she slept outside.
After Eugenia failed to emerge from her home, Bianca moved to the bookstore and continued to wait for her owner hoping she would emerge.
Sadly, Eugenia did not come to meet the dog, and a local told Infobae that it is "very sad" to see the dog "doing the same thing as a week ago."
Neighbours have now reportedly stepped in and are looking after Bianca along with a friend of Eugenia's.
One of the locals told Infobae: "We are all taking care of her because Bianca, an old dog who grew up on the street and who Eugenia adopted, was used to waiting for Eugenia at the door of the house and staying with her all day."
Fox wags tail and squeaks when rescuer comes home and snuggles up on her bed
Posting pictures to Facebook local resident Nerina Irrutia said: "Eugenia had a bookstore next to my business, without a doubt one of the nicest and most beautiful people I have ever met.
"She was a woman who was always followed by the neighbourhood dogs, she gave them love and food.
"My dogs miss her too because she always gave her a lot of love.
“A few days ago she passed away and look at how her dog is still waiting for her."
