A junior police officer who was suspended from duty due to an alleged affair with a married senior officer is also being investigated over claims that she was romantically involved with the leader of a drugs gang.
West Yorkshire Police Constable Caitlin Howarth was suspended from duty in November 2021 following allegations that she was conducting an affair with a senior officer, Chief Superintendent Daniel Greenwood.
It has now emerged that PC Howarth, who was a 21-year-old probationary officer at the time of her suspension, was being under investigation by anti-corruption police officers over her links with a crime lord who is currently in jail after being found guilty of supplying a Class A drug.

PC Howarth, who is from Bingley, in West Yorkshire, is something of a social media celebrity, with over 10,000 people following her on Instagram for regular updates on her racy outfits.
Chief Supt Greenwood, 38, has also been suspended while the alleged affair is under investigation.
